Take, for example, boosters in children who have already had COVID: when Pharma announced on Wednesday that they did a lab experiment that shows that boosters raise antibodies against Omicron without releasing the underlying scientific data, the CDC immediately urged everyone 16, and 17 years old to get a booster. Is this what we\u2019ve come to? Pharma tells people what to do in a press release and the CDC just falls in line?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeanwhile, Germany just reported that no healthy child five through 17 has ever died of COVID in the first 15 months of their pandemic, with nearly all of those children unvaccinated,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe CDC has never told us if any COVID deaths in children have been in healthy children. \u2026 Now, I\u2019m very pro-vaccine, I\u2019ve been vaccinated, but we have a modern-day McCarthyism if somebody asks a question about boosters in young people. Remember, just 12 weeks ago, the FDA external experts voted against boosters for everybody by a 16-2 vote and for good reasons. But weeks after that vote the FDA made another internal push to ream through boosters for all, but this time they inexplicably did not convene their experts, their external experts; the CDC did the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later Makary was questioned by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), and this exchange followed:<\/p>\n<p><em>Jordan: Dr. Makary, what\u2019s the budget at CDC? Do you happen to know that?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Makary: It\u2019s about $9 billion, sir.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jordan: How about at NIAID? What\u2019s the budget there?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Makary: $6 billion.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jordan: $6 billion. $9 billion CDC, $6 billion NIAID. What about NIH? What\u2019s the budget there?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Makary: Between $42 billion and $43 billion.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jordan: If I do the quick math, that\u2019s like $57, $58 billion. That\u2019s annual, right?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Makary: Annual.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jordan: Do you know how many people work at CDC?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Makary: 31,000 between CDC and NIH together, about 31,000 people.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jordan: 31,000. What about if you add in NIAID? Do you know how many that is? They\u2019re part of NIH as well, right?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Makary: That\u2019s right. 31,000 people between CDC and NIH.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jordan: 31,000 people spending $58 billion a year. Why hasn\u2019t our government done a study on natural immunity?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Makary: If I can be honest, Representative Jordan, I don\u2019t think they want to know the answer. It would undermine the indiscriminate vaccine, vaccine policy for every single human being including extremely low-risk people. \u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jordan: &nbsp;\u201cI saw in your opening statement that you\u2019re actually doing a study on natural immunity. Is that right?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Makary: That\u2019s right.
