It\u2019s clearly not enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I had \u2013 we had known, we would have gone harder, quicker if we could have,\u201d the president added before going on to tout his administration\u2019s latest efforts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/23\/joe-biden-covid19-tests-long-lines-christmas-omicron\/\">admission<\/a> coincides with both a rise in Omicron cases and a struggle to find <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/24\/white-house-covid-tests-octobor-proposal\/\">testing<\/a> across the county. In states like New York, for example, there have been hours-long lines for COVID testing ahead of the holiday season. Retailers country-wide, meanwhile, have struggled keeping tests in stock, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/12\/22\/us\/politics\/covid-tests-biden-omicron.html\">according<\/a> to The New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/21\/joe-biden-free-at-home-rapid-coronavirus-tests-americans-omicron-winter\/\">announced<\/a> Dec. 21 his administration\u2019s plan to purchase 500 million at-home rapid COVID-19 tests that will be available free for Americans who go online and order one. The announcement followed reports of testing shortages and while it is intended to make testing more available, the plan won\u2019t take effect until after the holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci also <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/27\/doctor-anthony-fauci-should-more-covid-at-home-tests-americans-holidays\/\">lamented<\/a> about the administration\u2019s response to testing Monday morning. He told CNN that the administration \u201cshould have had more tests available,\u201d though he also pointed to a perfect storm type-situation that ultimately caused more Americans to need COVID tests. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/08\/anthony-fauci-definition-fully-vaccinated-omicron\/\">(RELATED:&nbsp;\u2018A Matter Of When, Not If\u2019: Fauci Says Definition Of Fully Vaccinated Will Change)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had a conflation of high demands.
