Will Hollywood learn its lesson? Here are 7 of the wokest box-office bombs of the year. Keep in mind, Hollywood blockbusters often need to gross well north of twice their production budget to break even at the box office, due to promotional expenses that aren\u2019t included in budget figures.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>1. West Side Story<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Estimated production budget: $100 million<\/p>\n<p>Worldwide gross so far: $36.6 million<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Steven Spielberg went full woke by not including English subtitles in Spanish-language scene, saying he did&nbsp;not want to give \u201cEnglish the power over the Spanish.\u201d&nbsp;Actress Rachel Zegler further alienated audiences by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/12\/13\/west-side-story-star-rachel-zegler-on-subtitle-controversy-its-2021-learn-spanish\/\">shaming Americans who don\u2019t speak Spanish<\/a>. The pro-China athlete even&nbsp;threatened the Ohio police officer who shot teenager Ma\u2019Khia Bryant in order to protect another young girl. \u201cYou\u2019re Next,\u201d James tweeted, along with a photo of the officer.
