In an interview with CNN on Tuesday, Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) said he supported the controversial project, in a slight to the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p>Tester explained he thought it was a mistake for Joe Biden to cancel its construction. He said\u00a0there are caveats to that, including the need for safer standards in its construction and that it&#8217;s done while respecting people&#8217;s private property rights.<\/p>\n<p>The senator added he has a personal connection to this issue because he is a farmer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But I will tell you, in my real life I&#8217;m a farmer, and we&#8217;re not where we need to be in the country for replacing diesel fuel with something else, in a tractor for example, or in a semi that&#8217;s going down the road,&#8221; Tester stated. &#8220;We will get there, but it&#8217;s going to take some good policies from Washington D.C.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">US workers are already impacted by Pres. Biden\u2019s job-killing energy agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of Wisconsin workers were laid off after Pres.
