WSB-TV <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsbtv.com\/news\/politics\/exclusive-attorney-lin-wood-under-investigation-over-whether-he-voted-illegally-november-officials-say\/FIMPMEJHFFFBBA66O5P5QEY25E\/\">reported<\/a>. &#8220;Sources at the secretary of state\u2019s office say an email that Wood sent to [a WSB-TV reporter] caused them to launch an official investigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In the email, Wood allegedly said that he purchased a home in South Carolina in April and had been &#8220;domiciled&#8221; there &#8220;for several months.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy decision to change my residency to South Carolina has nothing to do with the frivolous and politically-motivated actions of the State Bar of Georgia,\u201d Wood told the reporter in an email. \u201cThe reasons for my change of residency are purely personal ones.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>State investigators are reportedly looking at a portion of Georgia law that states if a person \u201cremoves to another state with the intention of making it such person\u2019s residence, such person shall be considered to have lost such person\u2019s residence in this state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wood responded to WSB-TV&#8217;s report in a statement, claiming that he has been a resident of Georgia since 1955 and that he just changed his residency to South Carolina yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is pure harassment by the Georgia Secretary of State because I have revealed credible evidence of election fraud on the part of Brad Raffensperger,\u201d Wood claimed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">New: Response to the investigation into whether he was a a legal Georgia voter from Lin Wood: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/uVrQYxzvZu\">pic.twitter.com\/uVrQYxzvZu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Justin Gray (@JustinGrayWSB) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JustinGrayWSB\/status\/1356744885693517824?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 2, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The \u201cactions\u201d that Wood was referring to from the State Bar of Georgia are in regard to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-usa-trump-wood\/pro-trump-lawyer-lin-wood-puts-license-in-jeopardy-by-refusing-mental-health-evaluation-idUSKBN29Y2CD\">reports<\/a> that the he was told that he would need to undergo a mental health evaluation following statements that he made on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Wood&#8217;s remarks on social media became so bad that at least <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JennaEllisEsq\/status\/1345181448592973826\">one member<\/a> of the Trump campaign legal team put out a statement distancing themselves from Wood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have done nothing wrong. I have only exercised my right of free speech,\u201d Wood said. \u201cI will not allow the State Bar to persecute me for doing so and thereby violate my Constitutional rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wood&#8217;s remarks on social media became problematic even on Parler, which describes itself as the &#8220;Free Speech Social Network.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Parler &#8220;reportedly removed a post by Lin Wood, in which the pro-Trump lawyer threatened violence against Vice President Mike Pence,&#8221; Business Insider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/parler-removed-violent-comment-about-vice-president-mike-pence-2021-1\">reported<\/a>. &#8216;Get the firing squads ready.
