Also on the Sunday shows, Dr. Fauci [said] he thinks that on flights people will be masked up forever. And also signaled his support for vaccine mandates in order to fly. No,\u201d Shimkus began. \u201cThis is a massive overreach and it starts small with things that seemingly make sense like 15 days to slow the spread. You have to mask up during the height of the pandemic and now children are being forced to get vaccinated. You have vaccine mandates for small businesses and possibly a vaccine mandate in order to fly. It is outrageous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shimkus noted that people were speaking out about the mandates, but they often weren\u2019t the people who had any power to effect change or stop the mandates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of the administration that we have, expect to see more mandates coming down the road,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt defies the science though,\u201d Jones replied. \u201cThat\u2019s the point we are missing on the airlines. But Will, Dr. Fauci told on himself. He said the reason why he wants this to continue on the airlines is because it\u2019s going to squeeze people to get the vaccination. That\u2019s the real objective is control, not science.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/anything-that-could-get-people-more-vaccinated-fauci-wont-say-no-to-domestic-flight-vax-mandates\/\">Fauci<\/a> had explained to ABC\u2019s Jonathan Karl on Sunday that vaccine mandates for international travel were designed to prevent new infections from coming into the country from outside. He said that for domestic travel \u2014 which was reasonably safe due to the advanced filtration systems on airplanes coupled with the industry-wide <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/its-not-an-either-or-fauci-suggests-masks-are-forever-vaccinated-or-unvaccinated\/\">mask mandates<\/a> still in effect \u2014 and vaccine requirements would likely be more focused on coercing more people to get vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cAnything that could get people more vaccinated would be welcome,\u201d Dr. Anthony Fauci says when asked by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jonkarl?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@jonkarl<\/a> about potential vaccine requirements for domestic air travel. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6NvaxwLg5r\">https:\/\/t.co\/6NvaxwLg5r<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UMiNYMt0Hr\">pic.twitter.com\/UMiNYMt0Hr<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ABC News Politics (@ABCPolitics) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ABCPolitics\/status\/1475333481848877057?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 27, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, Dr. Anthony Fauci needs to be fired,\u201d Cain replied. \u201cHe is simply out of control. He is power drunk. And I would ask any journalist who has access to Dr. Anthony Fauci: find the limits of his own power. Ask him, ask him the limit of his own power. See if you can find the point at which he would go, \u2018No, that\u2019s too much. We would never do that.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will guarantee you can you push the limit as far as can you find and it his answer will be well, \u2018We will have to see what the data says at the moment,&#8217;\u201d Cain continued. \u201cWe are not governed by data. Data which doesn\u2019t support his power-drunk perspective. Data that shows omicron is overwhelmingly mild. But his power is limited by the foundational documents of this country. He is not empowered to tell us to get vaccinated to fly. He thinks so. And I would challenge you, find the limits. Ask him. See what he thinks the limits of his power might be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The conversation turned back to vaccine mandates that were already in place, in some cases forcing workers to either get vaccinated or lose their jobs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are telling American citizens that either you can provide \u2014 either you get the vaccine or you can\u2019t provide for your family,\u201d Jones said. \u201cI just think that\u2019s a slippery slope, Will.
