Fauci, who directs the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, polled third at 52% approval, while 47% of respondents said they disapproved of him.<\/p>\n<p>Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris polled at 43% and 44% approval, respectively. While Harris\u2019 approval was slightly higher than Biden\u2019s, her disapproval was three points higher.<\/p>\n<p>House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy polled the highest among the four congressional leaders with 46% approval. He was followed closely by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who polled at 44% approval, while House Speaker Nancy Pelosi polled at 40% and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell polled at 34%.<\/p>\n<p>All four congressional leaders had disapproval ratings that were higher than their respective approval ratings.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/18\/more-americans-want-republicans-to-control-congress-2022-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Republican Approval Inches Higher Amid Democratic Headwinds)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7342945\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7342945\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts attends President Joe Biden\u2019s address to a joint session of Congress in April. (Melina Mara-Pool\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Attorney General Merrick Garland, the other two officials polled, each came in at 49% approval and 43% disapproval.<\/p>\n<p>Of the officials polled, Roberts was the only one to receive bipartisan approval. Only Roberts, Powell and Garland received over 50%&nbsp; approval from Independents, while Pelosi and McConnell received the lowest marks from the group.<\/p>\n<p>While Schumer and Pelosi polled similarly among Democrats, receiving 76% and 71% approval, respectively, McCarthy polled 25 points higher among Republicans than McConnell. The two are largely split on their embrace of former President Donald Trump; McCarthy has fully backed him while McConnell has sought to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/09\/old-crow-mitch-mcconnell-donald-trump-infrastructure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">distance the GOP<\/a> from him and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/22\/wisconsin-audit-finds-2020-election-was-secure-voting-machines-counted-accurately\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">debunked<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/24\/donald-trump-endorsed-maricopa-county-audit-biden-won-larger-margin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">claims<\/a>&nbsp;of voter fraud surrounding the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>McConnell has also said that he is <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/17\/mitch-mcconnell-january-6-public-needs-to-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">interested in the findings<\/a> of the Jan. 6 Select Committee, which Republicans, including McCarthy, have alleged to be illegitimate.<\/p>\n<p>The survey polled 811 adults across all 50 states and Washington, D.C., from Dec. 1-16, and it has a margin of error of four percentage points.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
