Beasley was observed by one of the league officials when not complying with mandatory protocols for unvaccinated players,\u201d ESPN NFL reporter Chris Mortensen wrote on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Bills receiver Cole Beasley has been fined multiple times for Covid protocol violations for a cumulative sum in the range of $100,000 per league and union sources. Beasley was fined $14,600 in August on a day league officials were in the facility to review the protocols.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mortreport\/status\/1475157105619488768?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe $14,600 fine has been doubled on more than one occasion via video monitoring by the league, per sources. One source estimated the fines have reached the sum of $100,000. Another source believed it was just short of that amount,\u201d Mortensen added.<\/p>\n<p>Beasley tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday and will enter protocols for at least 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>The restriction kept Beasley out of Sunday\u2019s game, though he hopes to be available for the team\u2019s next matchup. With 76 catches for the season, his efforts will be needed to keep the Bills strong as they make a push for the post-season.<\/p>\n<p>Mortensen noted Beasley\u2019s fines won\u2019t keep him from being paid for missing Sunday\u2019s game. The league\u2019s current rules allow an unvaccinated player who tests positive to still be paid for missed games.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">There are several team execs who believe it\u2019s one loophole that needs to be revisited for 2022, believing an unvaccinated player who lands of the Covid-19 reserve list should not be paid if he misses a game or games.<br \/>This is the first time Beasley has landed on the list.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mortreport\/status\/1475157108966543368?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Beasley made headlines in July for his outspoken views against taking the COVID-19 vaccine ahead of the 2021 season. The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bills-receiver-isnt-backing-down-after-ripping-nfls-covid-19-protocols-something-needed-to-be-said\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>Beasley, a nine-year veteran of the NFL, made headlines last week when he&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/this-is-crazy-nfl-players-sound-off-on-leagues-vaccine-protocols\">slammed<\/a>&nbsp;the NFL\u2019s COVID-19 protocols which differ based on whether a player has received the COVID-19 vaccine or not.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI said all I needed to say. I\u2019m just living a normal life from here on out,\u201d Beasley told the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/sports\/nfl\/dallas-cowboys\/article252276843.html\">Fort Worth Star-Telegram<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m not trying to sway anybody in either direction. That\u2019s what I am doing and that\u2019s the end of it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI don\u2019t want to be any more of a distraction to my team so that\u2019s where I\u2019m leaving it,\u201d he said continued. \u201cSomething needed to be said, so I said it. I don\u2019t regret any of it.
