They are getting caught having sex already yesterday a girl was s*ucking a mans d**k on the main yard. WTF? \u2026 This is not safe for us.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The law, SB132, is designed to allow prisoners being admitted to prison according to the sex they want to live as rather than their biological sex \u2014 resulting in men living with men and even some women living with men:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The bill would require the [Corrections] department, for a person who is transgender, nonbinary, or intersex to only conduct a search of that person according to the search policy for their gender identity or according to the gender designation of the facility where they are housed, based on the individual\u2019s search preference. The bill would additionally require the department to house the person in a correctional facility designated for men or women based on the individual\u2019s preference, except as specified.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The <em>San Francisco Chronicle<\/em> has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfchronicle.com\/politics\/article\/California-has-moved-few-transgender-women-out-of-16711437.php?sid=5d54065e91d15c7b08162233&amp;utm_source=newsletter&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_content=headlines&amp;utm_campaign=sfc_morningfix\">reporting<\/a> on how the new law is being implemented, including promoting the idea that the trans women, not the real women, face danger in prison.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Chronicle<\/em> reported that more than 250 people \u2014 the \u201cvast majority\u201d of whom are trans women \u2014 are waiting to be transferred to their preferred prison.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe longer it takes, the greater the odds that they could be raped, beaten or killed,\u201d the Chronicle reported.<\/p>\n<p>The<em> Chronicle<\/em> report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ts-dating.com\/news\/index.php\/news\/3443\/All-Transgender\/December-20-2021\/California-has-moved-few-transgender-women-out-of-men%27s-prisons,-despite-new-law-San-Francisco-Chronicle\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Since the law took effect on Jan. 1, 288 people currently housed in male prisons have asked to be housed in female prisons, according to the corrections department. Of those, 41 requests have been approved, but only 25 people have actually been moved. Nine people housed in female prisons have asked to transfer to male prisons. None of those requests has yet been granted.<\/p>\n<p>Corrections officials said the vast majority of transfer requests, for both trans women and men, remain under review. Spokesperson Terry Thornton said the agency is \u201cbeing deliberate in its review of gender-based housing requests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eight requests from people seeking to transfer from men\u2019s prisons to women\u2019s facilities have been denied. Twelve additional prisoners changed their minds. The rest remain in limbo. The agency gave little further explanation for the slow pace of transfers. Under SB132, the state must grant such requests unless it has an \u201carticulable basis\u201d to deny them for security reasons.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTransfers are dependent on several factors including bed availability, and COVID-19 precautions have impacted overall inmate transfers,\u201d Thornton wrote in an email.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Letters from inside a California women&#8217;s prison. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sfchronicle?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@sfchronicle<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Scott_Wiener?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Scott_Wiener<\/a> is responsible for this atrocity. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Kv2eG2Ytbw\">pic.twitter.com\/Kv2eG2Ytbw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 GayeChapman\u26a2Gryffindykesaurus (@my_real_name) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/my_real_name\/status\/1474847361121751043?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 25, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But despite the claim that it is trans women prisoners who face danger, critics of the new law are pushing back, including by way of a lawsuit filed on behalf of female inmates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything we warned legislators about SB132 is coming true,\u201d Greg Burt, director of Capitol engagement for the California Family Council, a conservative group backing the lawsuit, said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Chronicle<\/em> reported that there are approximately 99,000 people who are incarcerated in California.
