(AAP Image\/Glenn Hunt)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Queensland government invested in the company last year through its\u00a0$50 million Essential Goods and Supply Chain Program\u00a0in a bid to create hundreds of jobs for Queenslanders and help the company ramp up production to produce 20 million tests by July.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div id=\"inside_ad_336x280_1\" data-google-query-id=\"CK_w19iey-4CFY3gwAodCCQLaw\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/5965368\/EET_article_inside_336x280_0__container__\"><iframe id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/5965368\/EET_article_inside_336x280_0\" title=\"3rd party ad content\" name=\"google_ads_iframe_\/5965368\/EET_article_inside_336x280_0\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-google-container-id=\"3\" data-load-complete=\"true\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Currently around 100,000 tests are being manufactured per day in Brisbane\u2014this is expected to increase to 250,000 per day by March\u2014and shipped to the United States where they are desperately needed.<\/p>\n<p>The federal health minister\u2019s spokesperson echoed the Queensland deputy premier\u2019s congratulations for\u00a0providing support to the United States through their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/giving-the-right-name-to-the-virus-causing-a-worldwide-pandemic-2_3277200.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus<\/a>\u00a0(novel coronavirus) outbreak.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis not only provides jobs for Australians, but support for one of our closest allies in the United States,\u201d the spokesperson told The Epoch Times on Tuesday. \u201cThis achievement was supported by $1 million in Australian Government funding in 2015 to assist them in commercializing their technology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration has awarded US$231.8 million to Ellume\u2019s United States arm, which initially got the green light from the Trump administration last year.
