The result of this \u201cneutral\u201d stance is a large population of students that have never engaged in thoughtful or critical discussions about the role that race plays in society and the intersections of identity, place, power, and opportunity. Those discussions should not be limited only to college-bound students. There are plenty of topics that are reserved for the collegiate level and have difficulty translating to K-12 schools because they are too specific, advanced, or inappropriate for children. Here&#8217;s the Abundant Evidence Saying Otherwise | RealClearInvestigations <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GE0MbYJqEz\">https:\/\/t.co\/GE0MbYJqEz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Benjamin Weingarten (@bhweingarten) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bhweingarten\/status\/1474022090437279748?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 23, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As John Murawski <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearinvestigations.com\/articles\/2021\/12\/22\/no_critical_race_theory_in_schools_heres_the_abundant_evidence_saying_otherwise_808528.html\">observed<\/a> Tuesday at RealClearInvestigations, the essay\u2019s authors praised Marvin Lynn of Portland State University\u2019s College of Education as a \u201crenowned Education and CRT scholar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Murawski wrote that Lynn agreed:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2026 conservatives are correct that CRT can be found in K-12 schools, but they exaggerate its influence because they assume every critique of systemic racism, structures of oppression and whiteness comes from CRT, when many scholars and activists who have never studied CRT use this terminology.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBefore we were even a nation, we were a slave state,\u201d Lynn said, according to Murawski. \u201cIf that is your culture, if that is the way you were raised up, why would you think there\u2019s anything wrong with suppressing and oppressing people based on their race?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we haven\u2019t done anything to undo that culture of oppression, why would white people be any different in terms of their thinking about black people today?\u201d&nbsp;Lynn reportedly asked.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">TakeCharge, a black-led movement challenging Critical Race Theory (CRT) and woke culture, released data this week that obstructs the \u201cracial disparities\u201d narrative CRT proponents use to justify their agenda. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6SeoUMxcbO\">https:\/\/t.co\/6SeoUMxcbO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1396489188472655884?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 23, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe recent political attacks on CRT are dangerous,\u201d the Loyola faculty members continued, \u201cand are predicated on the power of misinformation and misrepresentation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They dismissed the concerns, vehemently expressed by many parents and activists who have condemned the revisionist history that teaches that, from its founding, America has been a racist nation, as simply political.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[T]hese attempts to delegitimize decades of rigorous scholarship aimed at making our nation more just, equitable, representative, and conscious through examinations of laws, policies, and practices are by no means innocuous,\u201d they wrote. \u201cFanning the flames of a \u2018culture war,\u2019 some politicians and media outlets are pitting CRT against \u2018American\u2019 values, history, and exceptionalism.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">So Democrats want American parents to believe that racist Critical Race Theory (CRT) is not taught in most schools, but their pals at the radical Teacher&#8217;s Unions are going to court to fight laws banning the teaching of CRT?
