ALDI has said that the promotion is not authentic and that the Facebook page is not affiliated with the company.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AldiFans1\/posts\/452884863179283\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook post<\/a> shares a picture of Jason Hart, the CEO of ALDI USA, along with text that claims everyone who shares and comments will \u201creceive a bag full of Christmas essentials such as crackers, turkey, potatoes and much more worth $40.\u201d The post also alleges ALDI is putting \u201ca $500 voucher in 1,000 random bags.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The holiday offer and link included in the post, however, are actually a scam. The company has not announced the giveaway for the Christmas holiday in <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.aldi.us\/en\/newsroom\/news-press-releases\/current-press-releases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">any press releases<\/a> on its website. Likewise, no offers to that effect appear on ALDI\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AldiUSA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">verified<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/aldiusa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social media<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ALDI.USA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accounts<\/a>.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/08\/10\/fact-check-little-caesars-share-free-pizza-facebook\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Is Little Caesars Offering Free Pizza To Anyone Who Shares And Comments On A Facebook Post?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ALDI USA\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ALDI.USA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">official Facebook page<\/a> has a blue verification badge and a different handle than the Facebook page making the fake holiday offer. A representative for ALDI confirmed in an email to Check Your Fact that the social media post in question is not authentic or associated with ALDI.<\/p>\n<p>On Dec. 22, the company also appeared to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ALDI.USA\/posts\/4677073452382974\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">address<\/a> the fake giveaway on its verified Facebook page, saying in part, \u201cLooks like another Facebook scam is making its way around. We can confirm it is a scam and the page has no affiliation with ALDI. We\u2019re sorry for any confusion this may have caused!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time ALDI&nbsp; has been targeted by an online scam.
