In his first seven days in office, President Biden signed more executive orders than President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, and President Barack Obama averaged <em>per year<\/em>. In less than two weeks, Biden <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/joe-biden-executive-orders-more-donald-trump-barack-obama-first-12-days-1565795\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">has<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201calready issued nearly as many executive action as Trump and Obama did in the same period, combined.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">list<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> explaining what each of Biden\u2019s 42 executive orders \u2014 all signed within 12 days of his Inauguration \u2014 actually mean:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Executive Order on Strengthening Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Directs federal agencies to look to expand access to Obamacare, with the long-term goal of achieving socialized medicine.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Memorandum on Protecting Women\u2019s Health at Home and Abroad.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Rescinds the \u201cMexico City Policy,\u201d providing U.S. taxpayer funding for foreign abortions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Executive Order on Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Ceases <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cnew oil and natural gas leases on public lands [and] in offshore waters,\u201d thereby destroying energy jobs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Executive Order on Establishing President\u2019s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Reestablishes the \u201cPresident\u2019s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Memorandum on Restoring Trust in Government Through Scientific Integrity and Evidence-Based Policymaking.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Commits to making \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">evidence-based decisions guided by the best available science and data.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Paris Climate Agreement.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Rejoins the Paris climate accord.<\/span><\/li>\n<li 400\"> Directs the Department of Housing and Urban Development to \u201creview\u201d the Trump administration\u2019s policy impact on \u201cfair housing.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Memorandum on Tribal Consultation and Strengthening Nation-to-Nation Relationships.\u2019 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Calls for federal agencies to \u201cengage in regular, robust and meaningful consultation with Tribal governments.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Executive Order on Enabling All Qualified Americans to Serve Their Country in Uniform.\u2019 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ends \u201ctransgender ban\u201d in the military, which will restore the ability for transgender service members to receive taxpayer-funded medical services for the \u201ctransition process.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Executive Order on Ensuring the Future Is Made in All of America by All of America\u2019s Workers.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Continues existing policies and attitudes regarding \u201cBuy American\u201d rules.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Executive Order on Protecting the Federal Workforce.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> First step in attempting to enforce a national $15 minimum wage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Executive Order on Economic Relief Related to the COVID-19 Pandemic.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Calls for assistance to those who are struggling to buy food, missed out on stimulus checks or are unemployed.\u201d No funding is provided, and the order simply directs federal agencies to \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">promptly identify actions they can take within existing authorities to address the current economic crisis.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u2018Pausing Federal Student Loan Payments.\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Extends the pause on student loan repayments and interest for those with federal student loans until
