Absolutely,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldtribune.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2021\/12\/21\/sarasota-candidate-martin-hyde-battling-hoa-over-lets-go-brandon-christmas-lights\/8969364002\/\">said<\/a>&nbsp;Hyde. \u201cDid I expect it to take on this level? No.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hyde denies that the display was a calculated effort to bring media attention to his campaign. He said the Christmas lights align with his campaign and personality. \u201cIt\u2019s fully in keeping with my personality and my campaign,\u201d he&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldtribune.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2021\/12\/21\/sarasota-candidate-martin-hyde-battling-hoa-over-lets-go-brandon-christmas-lights\/8969364002\/\">said<\/a>. \u201cAnybody who doesn\u2019t like it, it\u2019s one street\u2026 don\u2019t come.\u201d<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Despite Hyde\u2019s authenticity, Homes of Laurel Park Homeowner\u2019s Association in Sarasota, Florida, did not approve of his Christmas display. Hyde believes the HOA\u2019s disapproval stems from their liberal politics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I put a message up there they liked, they\u2019d be slapping me on the back. It\u2019s got everything to do with they don\u2019t like what it says,\u201d Hyde&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldtribune.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2021\/12\/21\/sarasota-candidate-martin-hyde-battling-hoa-over-lets-go-brandon-christmas-lights\/8969364002\/\">said<\/a>. However, the HOA\u2019s president John Habbert denies Hyde\u2019s claim. In an email, Habbert noted that the dispute has \u201cnothing to do with politics,\u201d calling it \u201ca simple contract issue\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>When he purchased his house, Mr. Hyde signed documents stating that he would abide by all HOA rules \u2014 including no signs other than house numbers or For Sale notices. Other residents have been asked to remove signs and have complied without any problems, but Mr. Hyde refuses to do so.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The HOA\u2019s property management company sent Hyde a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldtribune.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2021\/12\/21\/sarasota-candidate-martin-hyde-battling-hoa-over-lets-go-brandon-christmas-lights\/8969364002\/\">letter<\/a>&nbsp;on December 16 threatening to issue fines of \u201cup to $150 per day until the violation ceases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Association would prefer not to fine unit owners and would anticipate that once owners are made aware of the violation, they would make every effort to correct it,\u201d the letter&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldtribune.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2021\/12\/21\/sarasota-candidate-martin-hyde-battling-hoa-over-lets-go-brandon-christmas-lights\/8969364002\/\">said<\/a>. \u201cThank you for your prompt attention to this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18799922\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Mario-Tama_Getty-Images-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18799922\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Mario-Tama_Getty-Images-5.jpg\" alt=\"Let&#039;s Go Brandon\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">A protestor holds a \u2018Let\u2019s Go Brandon!\u2019 sign in Grand Park at a \u2018March for Freedom\u2019 rally demonstrating against the L.A. Instead, Hyde&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/politics\/os-ne-congressional-candidate-lets-go-brandon-lights-hoa-fight-20211221-ynk47sx4qvdltklhfqflvdrdja-story.html\">revealed<\/a>&nbsp;a larger display that reads \u201c#FJB\u201d surrounded by Christmas lights at a campaign event at his home on Wednesday. The new display is an acronym for \u201cf*ck Joe Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you poke the bear, there are outcomes and circumstances,\u201d Hyde&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/politics\/os-ne-congressional-candidate-lets-go-brandon-lights-hoa-fight-20211221-ynk47sx4qvdltklhfqflvdrdja-story.html\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hyde is challenging Rep.
