Andrew Cuomo will not be charged with sexually assaulting a female state trooper who had said she felt \u201ccompletely violated\u201d after being allegedly groped by him, a prosecutor said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Acting Nassau County District Attorney Joyce Smith called <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/03\/andrew-cuomo-metoo-letitia-james-new-york\/\">the trooper<\/a>\u2018s allegations of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/14\/andrew-cuomo-book-profit-5-million-jcope-letitia-james\/\">Cuomo<\/a>\u2018s September 2019 misconduct \u201ccredible, deeply troubling, but not criminal under New York law,\u201d ABC News <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/cuomo-charged-touching-trooper-racetrack-81917238\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is important to note that our investigation was limited to alleged conduct at Belmont Racetrack, and prosecutors in other jurisdictions continue to review other allegations of misconduct by Mr. Cuomo,\u201d Smith\u2019s statement read, <a href=\"https:\/\/newyork.cbslocal.com\/2021\/12\/23\/nassau-da-says-no-criminal-charges-against-andrew-cuomo-over-alleged-incident-at-belmont-racetrack\/\">according<\/a> to WCBS. \u201cWe thank the brave individuals who came forward and cooperated with our office during this investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Developing: Despite \u201ccredible, deeply troubling\u2019 allegations by a state trooper against former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the Nassau DA says there will be no criminal charges. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZumB1q0JhH\">https:\/\/t.co\/ZumB1q0JhH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CBS New York (@CBSNewYork) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CBSNewYork\/status\/1474106438662377474?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 23, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The accuser known as \u201cTrooper #1\u201d first met Cuomo at an event in November 2017, where he requested her to be transferred to Protective Services Unit (PSU) of the New York State Police, which is \u201cin charge of protecting the Governor,\u201d despite her lacking the experience necessary to qualify for the job. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/30\/andrew-cuomo-apricots-staffers\/\">(RELATED: Cuomo Allegedly Threw A Bag Of Dried Apricots At His Staffers Over Use Of An Old Head Shot)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to an <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/03\/new-york-attorney-general-letitia-james-andrew-cuomo-sexually-harassment-women\/\">Aug. 3 report<\/a> by New York Attorney General Letitia James, Cuomo repeatedly harassed the trooper, including by \u201crunning his hand across her stomach, from her belly button to her right hip, while she held a door open for him at an event,\u201d by \u201crunning his finger down her back, from the top of her neck down her spine to the middle of her back, saying \u2018hey, you,\u2019 while she was standing in front of him in an elevator,\u201d and by \u201ckissing her (and only her) on the cheek in front of another Trooper and asking to kiss her on another occasion, which she deflected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The female trooper was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/06\/trooper-cuomo-harassment-attorney-protective-detail\/\">still listed<\/a> as a member of the PSU in early August, after having leveled accusations against the former governor.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to James\u2019 investigators, the alleged victim described Cuomo\u2019s actions towards her as \u201ccreepy\u201d and \u201cflirtatious,\u201d adding that she thought how to \u201csay no politely,\u201d according to ABC News.<\/p>\n<p>A court satisfied the prosecutor\u2019s request to delay Cuomo\u2019s arraignment until Jan. 7, ABC News reported.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Democratic New York Gov.
