One particular <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PPathole\/status\/1472586926964166663\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter user<\/a> claims it shows a traffic jam in China and tags Tesla founder and billionaire Elon Musk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe China highway 110 traffic jam. It lasted for more than 10 days &amp; each car moved at an estimated speed of 1km per day. Building tunnels will help in solving these. Boring company aspires to solve these. @elonmusk,\u201d reads the tweet.<\/p>\n<p>The image\u2019s caption, however, is inaccurate. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact discovered the picture is an altered version of a 1998 photo taken in Los Angeles, California, not China. In the <a href=\"http:\/\/philip.greenspun.com\/images\/pcd0222\/los-angeles-traffic-44.tcl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">original picture<\/a>, there are fewer lanes and cars on the highway, as well as more foliage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTraffic on the 405,\u201d reads the image\u2019s caption. \u201cLos Angeles, California. In 2015, thousands of Chinese motorists became stuck for hours on China\u2019s G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway following the end of Golden Week, a Chinese national holiday, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2015-10-08\/china-s-50-lane-traffic-jam-is-every-commuter-s-worst-nightmare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bloomberg CityLab<\/a>.
