Yet, as we near the end of year one, nothing\u2019s been done. It\u2019s been blocked by the filibuster,\u201d Muir began. \u201cAre you prepared to support fundamental changes in the Senate rules to get this done?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes,\u201d Biden answered immediately.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat does that mean?\u201d Muir pressed the president to elaborate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt means whatever it takes. Change the Senate rules to accommodate major pieces of legislation without requiring 60 votes,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/biden-says-he-supports-ending-filibuster-cites-abusive-use-by-democrats-during-trump-term\/\">Biden<\/a> replied, appearing to suggest that he would support getting rid of the legislative filibuster for not only H.R.-1 but possibly for other \u201cmajor pieces of legislation\u201d as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo you support a carve-out of the filibuster for voting rights,\u201d Muir repeated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe only thing standing between getting voting rights legislation passed and not getting passed is the filibuster.
