But I\u2019ve had times where you\u2019re turned down and the door is shut on you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added: \u201cIt\u2019s definitely changing and moving, but that\u2019s what <em>Being the Ricardos<\/em> is about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kidman, 54, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/tvshowbiz\/article-10337973\/Nicole-Kidman-54-exposes-ageist-directors-turned-past-date.html\">told<\/a> <em>The Daily Mail<\/em> that she could identify with the way Lucille Ball was treated in the industry.\u201dShe\u2019d been slapped down, told she wasn\u2019t good enough \u2014 and that she was too old,\u201d Kidman said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u201cI can relate to Lucille Ball, where you\u2019re told: You\u2019re past it now. You\u2019re over. I\u2019ve been in this industry for decades now; and I\u2019ve been \u2018finished\u201d more than once.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Watch below:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>Kidman reportedly continued her criticism of Hollywood in an interview with Britain\u2019s&nbsp;<em>The Mail on Sunday<\/em>\u2018s <em>You<\/em> magazine<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I was frustrated \u2014 as so many women are in different careers \u2014 at the idea of being told, \u201cWell, that\u2019s it.
