The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/alarmingly-incoherent-ny-times-columnist-begs-biden-not-to-run-re-election\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>Bret Stephens, a conservative and strong critic of former President Donald Trump, went so far as to say that Biden should announce his decision not to run as soon as possible to give fellow Democrats time to prepare to succeed him in the White House.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIs it a good idea for Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024? And, if he runs again and wins, would it be good for the United States to have a president who is 86 \u2014 the age Biden would be at the end of a second term?\u201d he wrote. \u201cI put these questions bluntly because they need to be discussed candidly, not just whispered constantly,\u201d Stephens wrote in a piece headlined, \u201cBiden Should Not Run Again \u2014 and He Should Say He Won\u2019t.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some rumors have also circulated that Vice President Kamala Harris may not run on the 2024 ticket with Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/white-house-biden-will-run-again-with-kamala-harris-beside-him\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Daily Wire<\/a> detailed the conversation between a reporter who asked White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, \u201cI\u2019m hoping you can clear something up here when it comes to the question of 2024. The Vice President did an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/kamala-harris-interview-biden-re-election-2024-11639672990\">interview with The Wall Street Journal.<\/a>\u00a0She was asked if she assumed that Biden would run again, and she didn\u2019t say yes. She just said that the two of them hadn\u2019t talked about it. Of course, you all and the President himself have said that he does plan to seek reelection. So what\u2019s the disconnect here?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t speak to a conversation that the Vice President and the President has,\u201d Jean-Pierre answered. \u201cI could only say what and reiterate what Jen (Psaki) has said and what the President has said himself. He is planning to run for reelection in 2024. I don\u2019t have any more to add to that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The reporter pressed, \u201cBut just to be clear, when the President says he plans to run again, he means with Harris on the ticket?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, he does. There\u2019s no change,\u201d Jean-Pierre replied. \u201cYes.
