On Saturday, the Pentagon press secretary confirmed that no detainees had been vaccinated and officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/pentagon-pauses-guantanamo-bay-detainees-coronavirus-vaccines\">paused<\/a> their plans.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">No Guantanamo detainees have been vaccinated.  We\u2019re pausing the plan to move forward, as we review force protection protocols. (Photo by CHET STRANGE\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Republicans also pushed back and claimed Joe Biden was prioritizing terrorists over Americans who still don&#8217;t have access to the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Sullivan, a retired special security agent with the FAA, expressed outrage because he is in an at-risk age group for the virus, but has not been vaccinated.
