Two of the students ended up suing Franco, who paid $2,235,000 to settle the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>The suit claimed Franco and his business partners \u201cengaged in widespread inappropriate and sexually charged behavior towards female students by sexualizing their power as a teacher and an employer by dangling the opportunity for roles in their projects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The actor said he decided to speak now because he\u2019s been working through \u201caddiction\u201d issues, which he later said included sex addiction.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><em><strong>Watch below:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cOver the course of my teaching, I did sleep with students, and that was wrong,\u201d Franco said in the podcast. \u201cBut like I said, it\u2019s not why I started the school and I wasn\u2019t the person that selected the people to be in the class. So it wasn\u2019t a \u2018master plan\u2019 on my part. But yes, there were certain instances where, you know what, I was in a consensual thing with a student and I shouldn\u2019t have been.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added:&nbsp;\u201cAt the time I was not clearheaded, as I\u2019ve said. So I guess it just comes down to my criteria was like, \u2018If this is consensual, like, I think it\u2019s cool. We\u2019re all adults so\u2026.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Franco also addressed his sex addiction, for which he\u2019s been in recovery since 2016.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><em><strong>Watch below:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>Franco discussed his professional split from Seth Rogen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just want to say, I absolutely love Seth Rogen,\u201d the actor said. \u201cI worked with him for 20 years and we didn\u2019t have one fight. For 20 years, not one fight. He was my absolute closest work friend, collaborator. And we just gelled. And what he said is true. We aren\u2019t working together right now and we don\u2019t have any plans to work together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Watch below:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cOf course, it was hurtful in context,\u201d Franco added, \u201cbut I get it, you know, he had to answer for me because I was silent. He had to answer for me and I don\u2019t want that.
