Joe Manchin (D-WV) would be best served by joining the Republican Party during an appearance on FNC\u2019s \u201cAmerica Reports\u201d on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>McConnell noted Democrats\u2019 hostile reaction to Manchin for his opposition to Build Back Better and said the West Virginia Democratic lawmaker would be better off caucusing with Senate Republicans.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201c[H]e gave the American people the Christmas gift they needed,\u201d McConnell said. \u201cHe killed this bill in its current form, which would have been really, really bad for America. Exactly the wrong kind of prescription for the rampant inflation that we\u2019re suffering from already. As a result of what the administration advocated and the Democratic Congress passed earlier this year, we dumped $2 trillion on the American economy, which is a major factor in this huge upsurge in inflation \u2014 the biggest inflation increase in 40 years. So I admire what Joe Manchin did. I don\u2019t expect him to give up. I think they\u2019ll keep coming back to him.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve suggested a good solution to his problem would be to come across the aisle and join us, where he\u2019d be treated with respect,\u201d he continued. \u201cIf you recall, the White House basically called him a liar Sunday.
