Jim Jordan (@Jim_Jordan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jim_Jordan\/status\/1473439966164357121?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 21, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Indeed, this weekend, the White House chief medical adviser told ABC\u2019s <em>This Week<\/em> that he did not see the mask mandate on airplanes ending anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI also wanted to ask you about what the airline executive said this week about masks on airplanes,\u201d guest host Jon Karl said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Several of the top, you know, CEOs of the top airlines said that on an airplane, you are actually safer than you are in an ICU, the protection with the filtration system they have. They were suggesting there really isn\u2019t much of a need for a mask on an airplane. Are we going to get to the point where we won\u2019t have to wear masks on airplanes?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think so,\u201d Fauci <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2021\/12\/19\/fauci-on-if-wearing-masks-on-airplanes-will-end-i-dont-think-so\/\">responded<\/a>. \u201cI think when you\u2019re dealing with a closed space, even though the filtration is good, that you want to go that extra step.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you have people, you know, you get a flight from Washington to San Francisco. It\u2019s well over a five-hour flight, so even though you have a good filtration system, I still believe that masks are a prudent thing to do, and we should be doing it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>This month, Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/02\/biden-extends-mask-requirements-air-travel-through-winter\/\">announced<\/a> that his administration is extending the mask requirements for travel until March 18.
