(Photo by BRENDAN SMIALOWSKI\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 2:42 PM PT \u2013 Wednesday, December 22, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Joe Biden has extended the pause on federal student loan repayments for the second time.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2021\/12\/22\/statement-by-president-joe-biden-extending-the-pause-on-student-loan-repayment-an-additional-90-days\/\">statement on Wednesday<\/a>, the White House said student loan repayments would now start back up again on May 1. This is a 90-day extension to the hold, with repayments previously expected to restart Feb. 1.
