(Getty)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The decision to close schools should be considered \u201cas only the last resort, to be adopted in extreme cases and only after having tried other epidemic control measures, such as different arrangements of the classrooms, pupil transportation, scholastic life and classroom schedules,\u201d the text asserts.<\/p>\n<p>The practice of remote learning, in fact, has resulted in \u201cthe impoverishment of academic development, the loss of formative relationships intellectual learning and the deprivation of formative relationships,\u201d the Academy states.<\/p>\n<p>School closures have caused \u201cgrowing frustration and disorientation among, in particular, adolescents,\u201d it continues, noting that the situation \u201cis aggravated by precedent poverty and social hardship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daily school attendance \u201cis not just an educational tool,\u201d but rather \u201cit is where \u2018life\u2019 \u2014 relationships, friendly ties and affective education \u2014 is learned.
