The official look will be revealed soon. According to James Quincey, \u2018The time has come for a Santa Claus that\u2019s more relevant to our times.&#8217;\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coca-colacompany.com\/company\/leadership\/james-quincey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">James Quincey<\/a> is the chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company.<\/p>\n<p>The tweet, however, appears to be fabricated. A <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=Coca-Cola%20(from%3ACNN)&amp;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">search<\/a> of CNN\u2019s verified Twitter account, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CNN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@CNN<\/a>, did not yield any results for the tweet in the Facebook image. There is likewise no mention of such a story about Coca-Cola on CNN\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/search?q=james+quincey+black+santa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>. The tweet\u2019s use of the term \u201cAfro-American\u201d also calls the tweet\u2019s veracity into question. CNN does not use that language, instead using terms like \u201cBlack\u201d and \u201cAfrican-American,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrap.com\/cnn-capitalize-black-white-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Wrap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bridget Leininger, a CNN spokesperson, confirmed in an email to Check Your Fact that the tweet is fake. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/04\/30\/fact-check-bbc-air-chyron-reporting-bobi-wine-ugandas-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did The BBC Air This Chyron Reporting Bobi Wine Will Be Sworn In As Uganda\u2019s President?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coca-Cola has also not made any announcement about \u201cchanging Santa Claus from a caucasian man to an afro-american man.\u201d A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coca-colacompany.com\/media-center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">review<\/a> of Coca-Cola\u2019s press releases, as well as the company\u2019s verified <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=Santa%20Claus%20(from%3ACocaCola)&amp;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/page\/820882001277849\/search\/?q=Santa%20Claus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">media<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/cocacola\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accounts<\/a>, turned up no evidence of any such announcement. Check Your Fact didn\u2019t find any instances of Quincey saying the quote, either.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting, however, that the picture included in the fake tweet, the one showing a black Santa Claus holding a Coca-Cola, is real. It is an image pulled from an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kevinzung.com\/black-santa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ad<\/a> Coca-Cola created in collaboration with a Brazilian television channel in 2020, according to Ads of the World\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20211215221757\/https:\/\/www.adsoftheworld.com\/media\/integrated\/cocacola_together_the_magic_happens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>.
