Biden\u2019s plan to combat COVID-19 this winter does not include \u201cquarantine centers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Biden gave a speech Tuesday about the White House\u2019s response to the omicron variant of the coronavirus, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2021\/12\/21\/world\/omicron-covid-vaccine-tests\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New York Times<\/a>. He also released his \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2021\/12\/02\/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-new-actions-to-protect-americans-against-the-delta-and-omicron-variants-as-we-battle-covid-19-this-winter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COVID-19 Winter Action Plan<\/a>\u201d in early December.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of Tuesday\u2019s speech, a purported screen grab of an internal version of the White House website started circulating on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=5028129497211277&amp;set=a.554738357883769\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thechrisbuskirk\/status\/1472976693908291585\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a>. In the alleged screen grab, it includes a tab at the bottom-left that looks to say \u201cLearn about Restrictions on Cross-State Travel,\u201d \u201cRead About the New Booster Requirements,\u201d \u201cSee America\u2019s New Quarantine Centers\u201d and \u201cRead President Biden\u2019s Updated Winter Action Plan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While it\u2019s not clear where exactly the image originated, there is no evidence it&nbsp;shows a genuine screen grab of the White House website. The tab on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">White House website homepage<\/a> currently states \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/build-back-better\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read about the Build Back Better Framework<\/a>,\u201d \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/bipartisan-infrastructure-law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read About the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law<\/a>,\u201d \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Vaccination-Requirements-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read the Vaccination Requirements Report<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2021\/12\/02\/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-new-actions-to-protect-americans-against-the-delta-and-omicron-variants-as-we-battle-covid-19-this-winter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read President Biden\u2019s COVID-19 Winter Action Plan<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20211219122724\/https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Archived<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/*\/https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">versions<\/a> of the White House website on the Wayback Machine from <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20211219093542\/https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dec. 19<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20211220022447\/https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dec. 20<\/a> also do not depict the home page showing what appears in the screen grab being shared online. The name listed in the upper-left corner of the screen grab, Tim Woods, matches that of a <a href=\"https:\/\/24.fandom.com\/wiki\/Tim_Woods\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fictional character<\/a> in the action television series \u201c24.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact could only find the fake White House website screen grab posted on social media websites such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=10220694085609714&amp;set=a.1682360386538\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Revelation2041\/status\/1472902712471826441\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/boards.4chan.org\/pol\/thread\/352683904\/bidens-new-winter-plan-leak\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">4chan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/greatawakening.win\/p\/140vMJorHa\/bidens-new-winter-plan--cross-st\/c\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GreatAwakening.win<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A review of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7cCRegKviEk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">video<\/a> of Biden\u2019s Dec. 21 speech, where he outlined the administration\u2019s plans to combat COVID-19 through the winter, turned up no instances of him expressing plans to establish quarantine centers or restrict cross-state travel. Instead, he described increasing the availability of at-home testing, opening more testing and vaccination sites and providing support to hospitals around the country, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2021\/12\/21\/remarks-by-president-biden-on-the-fight-against-covid-19\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">White House transcript<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>National media outlets such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/search?query=quarantine+centers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New York Times<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/search-results\/search?q=quarantine%20centers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox News<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/search?q=quarantine+centers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/search?query=quarantine%20centers&amp;mod=searchresults_viewallresults\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a> also haven\u2019t reported on Biden announcing plans to open quarantine centers. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/12\/02\/fact-check-image-joe-biden-jeffrey-epstein\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Does This Image Show Joe Biden With Jeffrey Epstein?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2021\/12\/02\/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-new-actions-to-protect-americans-against-the-delta-and-omicron-variants-as-we-battle-covid-19-this-winter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COVID-19 Winter Action Plan<\/a>\u201d available on the White House website does not mention quarantine centers at any point.
