We don\u2019t know how extensive his relationship or her knowledge of him is thus far.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Press Conference - Missing Student, Madelyn Allen, Found\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/F5xzGmt9jSM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-raw\">He added the investigation was ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-raw\">The chief identified the person in custody as Brent Brown, a 39-year-old male from Utah.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-raw\">The <em>Tribune<\/em> report continued:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote readability=\"12\">\n<p class=\"body-raw\">According to the affidavit, Allen met the man in an online \u201cchat group\u201d and arranged to have him pick her up Dec. 13. Snow College security footage showed Allen leaving her dorm Monday night, wearing a white fleece jacket and a dark skirt and carrying a plastic bag. Allen\u2019s roommates at the central Utah school reported her missing when she did not return home the next day.&nbsp;During the days that followed, according to court documents, the relationship between Allen and the man became nonconsensual and violent.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"body-raw\">The man reportedly took the young woman\u2019s phone, and allowed her to text her family one time on December 14, according to court documents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-raw\">The affidavit alleged he tied her up while he went to work, threw her phone away after learning officials were looking for her, took her wallet and also \u201cthreatened her, saying if she left or told anyone about him, he would come after her family and sister.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"body-raw\">Meanwhile, local, state, and federal law enforcement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HLetNFQ067g\">joined<\/a> the search over the several day period.<\/p>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Search underway for missing Snow College student in Ephraim\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HLetNFQ067g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-raw\">Authorities used cellphone tower information to locate Allen in Loa, the court documents explained.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"body-raw\">Officials began searching through the town of approximately 500 residents, and when police neared a house on Main Street, spotted an individual with light-colored hair and slight build in the basement, the documents said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-raw\">\u201cA man \u2014 standing about 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds \u2014 answered the door and told police he was alone in the house, according to the documents.
