The reporter\u2019s effort to cover for Biden came during her post-race, trackside interview with race winner Brandon Brown. As the crowd sang out their anti-Biden chant, Stavast absurdly said, \u201cAs you can hear the chants from the crowd\u2026 \u2018Let\u2019s Go Brandon.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"5.2941176470588\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FJBMovement?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FJBMovement<\/a> alive and strong as it finds it way to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NASCAR?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Nascar<\/a>  <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TALLADEGA?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@TALLADEGA<\/a> chanting &#8220;Fu*k Joe Biden&#8221; during race winner&#8217;s interview. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NASCAR?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NASCAR<\/a>  <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FJB?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FJB<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FJoeBiden?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FJoeBiden<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZRKVJOgF4A\">pic.twitter.com\/ZRKVJOgF4A<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Sn00pster (@sn00pdad) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sn00pdad\/status\/1444458392614019072?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 3, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>From there, the absurdity of Stavast\u2019s characterization of the vulgar chant became a hilarious way to attack the media and the president simultaneously and without using a curse word, on top of it all.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/GettyImages-632787714-640x480-1.png\" alt=\"Kelli Stavast\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>(Isaac Brekken\/NASCAR via Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The racer told the <i>Times<\/i> that he didn\u2019t even catch the chant or the comment by Stavast during the interview. But after the race, when he began checking Twitter, he discovered the burgeoning wave for the silly chant. At first, he thought it was sort of funny, and he tweeted out a little quip about it, telling other Brandons that they are welcome for the focus he brought to them.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.9024390243902\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">To all the other Brandon\u2019s out there, You\u2019re welcome!<br \/>Let\u2019s go us<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Brandon Brown (@brandonbrown_68) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/brandonbrown_68\/status\/1445884267125428230?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 6, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But that was before the chant took on a life of its own. Soon enough, he began to worry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was afraid of being canceled by my sponsors, or by the media, for being caught up in something that has little to do with me,\u201d the 28-year-old driver told the paper.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>He also said that he felt he\u2019d better finally speak up because \u201cwaiting out the storm\u201d raised by the chant does not seem to be working. The LGB chant has become a mainstay at nearly every event that brings large numbers of Americans together, and it isn\u2019t going away any time soon. So, Brown thought he\u2019d better come out and address the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Brown noted that everyone told him to let it go and stay silent as the chant broke through to become public tender.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the advice I got from those around my racing career was to stay quiet after that now-famous interview,\u201d Brown told the <i>Times<\/i>. \u201cNo one knew how my sponsors would react, and, in my world, there is no car to drive without the sponsors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As to the phrase and the way it is used, he begrudgingly accepts it, at least as far as its goal of taking a curse word out of public parlance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want it to just be the substitute for a cuss-word,\u201d he lamented, before adding, \u201cI mean, if it\u2019s making it more polite, then, by God, I guess, go ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brown also said that, even though he is a registered Republican, he has no interest in making political endorsements or talking politics. \u201cI have zero desire to be involved in politics,\u201d he said.
