The claim stems from a satirical website.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A series of deadly tornadoes ripped through Kentucky and surrounding states on Dec. 10&nbsp; and Dec. 11, leaving at least 78 dead, according to CBS affiliate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlky.com\/article\/kentucky-tornado-update-death-toll-storm-track-impact\/38504608#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLKY<\/a>. In the aftermath of the storms, President Joe Biden approved an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2021\/12\/11\/president-joseph-r-biden-jr-approves-kentucky-emergency-declaration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Emergency Declaration<\/a>&nbsp;and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2021\/12\/12\/president-joseph-r-biden-jr-approves-kentucky-disaster-declaration-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Disaster Declaration<\/a> which authorized federal funds and aid to be directed to the disaster zone.<\/p>\n<p>An image shared on Facebook, however, claims the federal response is focused on vaccinating people instead of providing conventional disaster relief. It includes what appears to be a screen grab of a news headline that reads, \u201cFEMA Arrives in Tornado-Stricken Kentucky \u2014 WITH VACCINATIONS.\u201d The post\u2019s caption goes on to claim that FEMA \u201cbrought more Covid-19 vaccinations than it did blankets, food, and bottled water, a clear sign that the Deep State-run organization is still trying to coerce law-abiding Americans into taking the jab.\u201d The post also claims FEMA refused to assist those who were unvaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>There are, however, no reports from local news outlets like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlky.com\/search?q=FEMA+vaccination\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLKY<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgdailynews.com\/search\/?f=html&amp;q=FEMA+vaccines&amp;s=start_time&amp;sd=desc&amp;l=25&amp;t=article%2Ccollection%2Cvideo%2Cyoutube&amp;nsa=eedition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bowling Green Daily News<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courier-journal.com\/search\/?q=FEMA+vaccination\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Courier-Journal<\/a> of FEMA turning unvaccinated people seeking tornado-related aid. The FEMA <a href=\"https:\/\/search.usa.gov\/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&amp;affiliate=fema&amp;query=unvaccinated+Kentucky&amp;commit=Search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> likewise makes no mention of such a policy. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/10\/25\/fact-check-unvaccinated-fema-workers-replacing-nurses-doctors-refuse-covid-vaccinations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Are Unvaccinated FEMA Health Care Workers Replacing Nurses And Doctors Who Refuse To Get Vaccinated Against COVID-19)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jaclyn Rothenberg, the FEMA director of public affairs, told Check Your Fact in an email that the premise of the claim on Facebook is false. She stated that while FEMA has assisted in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fema.gov\/disaster\/coronavirus\/vaccine-support\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vaccination efforts<\/a> in Kentucky for months, \u201cYou can\u2019t compare vaccine to the equipment, commodities, staff, logistical and incident support, and funding (directly to individuals and communities) we\u2019ve already sent to KY \u2013 and much more that\u2019s on its way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur top priority is helping Kentuckians in the aftermath of this storm,\u201d she also said. \u201cWe remain in a life-saving and life-sustaining mission on the ground in Kentucky and are committed to helping these communities recover with needed crisis supplies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In connection to the disaster, FEMA has approved 436 individual assistance applications and provided over $4.5 million in assistance in Kentucky, according to the agency\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fema.gov\/locations\/kentucky\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The viral claim appears to originate with a Dec. 13 <a href=\"https:\/\/realrawnews.com\/2021\/12\/fema-arrives-in-tornado-stricken-kentucky-with-vaccinations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> published by Real Raw News, a site that includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/realrawnews.com\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">disclaimer<\/a> that reads, in part, \u201cThis website contains humor, parody, and satire.\u201d The Disclaimer has not stopped some social media users from sharing the article as if it were true.<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact has previously debunked viral claims stemming from Real Raw News articles, including claims that political figures such as <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/11\/17\/fact-check-military-not-arrest-george-w-bush\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">George W.
