Michael Cloud, wrote to Biden in a Monday letter, obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller. In addition to eliminating the legal immunity for pharmaceutical companies, the representatives also urge Biden to end the vaccine mandates <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/17\/osha-suspends-implementation-enforcement-joe-biden-private-business-vaccine-rule-court-order\/\">promulgated<\/a> by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Both the Trump and Biden administrations have used the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act to develop and distribute COVID-19 vaccines. In addition to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2020\/03\/17\/2020-05484\/declaration-under-the-public-readiness-and-emergency-preparedness-act-for-medical-countermeasures\">granting<\/a> pharmaceutical companies legal immunity from injuries potentially caused by their vaccines, the Trump administration used the law to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiv.gov\/blog\/hhs-amends-prep-act-declaration-including-expand-access-covid-19-countermeasures-telehealth\">expand<\/a> telehealth services and cut through regulations. The Biden administration employed the PREP Act to allow dentists, veterinarians and paramedics to distribute COVID-19 vaccines. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/12\/joe-biden-covid-19-vaccine-veterinarians-dentists-medical-students\/\"><strong>(RELATED: Biden HHS Authorizes Veterinarians, Medical Students To Administer Coronavirus Vaccines)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then-HHS Secretary Alex Azar\u2019s PREP declaration runs through September 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVaccine mandates have no place in a free society. The enforcement of Americans to unwillingly inject themselves with an experimental vaccine in order to work, travel or participate in commerce is nothing short of tyrannical,\u201d Cloud said in a statement. \u201cIf this administration believes these vaccines are safe and effective enough to mandate, then let\u2019s remove the full-blown legal immunity given to manufacturers for \u2018experimental drugs.\u2019 The American people should be able to take legal action when necessary against a mandated experimental vaccine. Let\u2019s end the mandates and allow Americans to choose what health options are in their best interest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several federal courts have ruled against the Biden administration\u2019s vaccine mandates. Judges on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/12\/appeals-court-joe-biden-vaccine-mandate\/\">described<\/a> the OSHA mandate as \u201cstaggeringly overbroad,\u201d in their response to a lawsuit filed by several Republican-controlled states.
