Times <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2021-01-30\/dodger-stadiums-covid-19-vaccination-site-shutdown-after-dozens-of-protesters-gather-at-entrance\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">reports<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that the group was made up of anti-vaccine advocates and unspecified members of \u201cfar-right groups.\u201d The entrance was closed at 2pm PST, forcing senior citizens and others who qualify for the vaccine to wait even longer than normal. It was re-opened about an hour later.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">From the LA Times:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A post on social media described the demonstration as the \u201cSCAMDEMIC PROTEST\/MARCH.\u201d It advised participants to \u201cplease refrain from wearing Trump\/MAGA attire as we want our statement to resonate with the sheeple. No flags but informational signs only.[\u201d]<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThis is a sharing information protest and march against everything COVID, Vaccine, PCR Tests, Lockdowns, Masks, Fauci, Gates, Newsom, China, digital tracking, etc.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After social media users blamed the Los Angeles Police Department for closing the vaccine site, the department said it had no role in shutting the gates. The police department also said that everyone who had an appointment would still be able to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">We are aware of social media posts referring to protestors showing up at the Dodger Stadium COVID-19 vaccination site. Preliminary reports are that protestors remained peaceful. The LAPD did NOT close the gates, and per LA City Fire, all scheduled vaccines will be delivered. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/l5zEW3UAOt\">https:\/\/t.co\/l5zEW3UAOt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 LAPD HQ (@LAPDHQ) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LAPDHQ\/status\/1355678723974995972?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 31, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2021\/01\/l-a-mayor-eric-garcetti-says-dodger-stadium-delivered-staggering-7730-covid-19-vaccines-on-wednesday-probably-more-than-anywhere-in-the-country-if-not-the-world-1234678119\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Deadline<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the Dodger Stadium site has managed to process thousands of vaccinations a day, and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti (D) has established a goal of vaccinating 12,000 people per day at the site. In a single day last week, the Dodger Stadium site performed 7,730 vaccinations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/01\/28\/us\/los-angeles-vaccinations-garcetti.html\">reports<\/a> The New York Times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Receiving a vaccine at Dodger Stadium also requires a car, which can make it difficult for some seniors to receive vaccinations at the city&#8217;s mass-vaccination site. Furthermore, some seniors have also said they&#8217;ve had trouble finding bathrooms to use while they wait in line.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI inched along for two hours,\u201d one senior wrote on Facebook, reports the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2021-01-28\/la-covid-vaccine-rollout-puts-seniors-at-disadvantage\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">L.A. Times<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. \u201cMy appointment was long past, and the call of nature forced me to give up.
