That percentage means that one-in-seven of the people living in the United States were born elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>The massive inflow will help Biden\u2019s deputies and their business allies to re-inflate the bubble of cheap labor that has suppressed Americans\u2019 wages and salaries since 1990.<\/p>\n<p>That bubble burst in early 2020 when President Donald Trump shut the borders, froze multiple visa-worker programs, and reduced the foreign population by roughly 1.2 million.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>That low-migration policy allowed many Americans to get wage raises and workplace benefits from employers who were used to a plentiful supply of cheap migrant labor.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.9411764705882\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">One million migrants have crossed the border since October, according to a June 29 report by CNN. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/E1N4UjOKeK\">https:\/\/t.co\/E1N4UjOKeK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1410795710962884614?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 2, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A statement from the CIS <a href=\"https:\/\/cis.org\/Camarota\/Immigrant-Population-Hits-Record-462-Million-November-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"16\">\n<p><span class=\"s2\">There were a total of 46.2 million immigrants (legal and illegal) in the country in November 2021. This is the largest number of immigrants ever recorded in any government survey or census going back to 1850.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">As a share of the total U.S. population, immigrants were 14.2 percent in November 2021 \u2014 the highest percentage in 111 years. The immigrant share of the population has tripled since 1970 and has come close to doubling since 1990.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">The number of immigrants in the country grew by 1.5 million between November 2020 and November of this year after declining by 1.2 million between February and September 2020 as a result of Covid-19 restrictions.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSince President Biden\u2019s election, the total legal and illegal immigrant population has grown spectacularly,\u201d said Steven Camarota, the research director at CIS. \u201cThe ongoing border surge, the ending of nearly all interior enforcement, and the ramping up of legal immigration are clearly showing up in the data,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>About 500,000 of the extra migrants are job-seeking \u201cgot-aways\u201d illegals who were allowed to sneak across the U.S. southern border by Biden\u2019s pro-migration appointees at the Department of Homeland Security.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbp.gov\/newsroom\/stats\/southwest-land-border-encounters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">500,000 migrants<\/a> were invited in during the eight months up to October 1 under a variety of legal pretexts, such as requests for asylum or requests to reunify with family members in the United States. In contrast, Trump deputies admitted roughly 55,000 migrants before Biden\u2019s February 20 takeover.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"9.2685185185185\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">REVEALED: Thousands of migrants, enrolled in the &#8220;Remain in Mexico&#8221; program, released into the U.S. interior are resettled in Florida and Texas. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XpE49eDIHq\">https:\/\/t.co\/XpE49eDIHq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1391233095693647874?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Biden\u2019s deputies \u2014 chiefly, pro-migration zealot DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas \u2014 have also admitted many legal immigrants, plus at least 50,000 Afghans, plus many white-collar visa workers, and have also reduced deportations by roughly 90 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The total number of arrivals recorded by border officials is greater than the census bureau\u2019s estimated population increase.<\/p>\n<p>The huge inflow of foreign workers, consumers, and renters will make it more difficult for ordinary Americans to earn good wages and to afford decent housing.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Breitbart <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/12\/20\/washington-post-low-wage-employers-struggle-after-cheap-labor-bubble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> December 20 on the pocketbook impact of the government\u2019s immigration policy:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"28.75\">\n<p>Hasit Patel is an Indian legal immigrant who operates the two-star La Quinta franchise&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/La_Quinta_Inns_%26_Suites\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">budget hotel<\/a>&nbsp;where [Monique] Rolle worked for roughly $8.50 an hour before she took her $15-an-hour job at Target.<\/p>\n<p>Patel\u2019s business plan depended on cheap migrant labor, according to what he&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/2021\/12\/12\/quitting-great-resignation-downside-labor-shortage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">told the&nbsp;<em>Washington Post<\/em><\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[His] struggle to find [replacement] labor felt like a blow to his whole notion of what made America great. An immigrant from India, he believed that the health of the U.S. economy was protected by a constant refreshing of the workforce, an injection of striving immigrants willing to take on some of the unpleasant jobs that many Americans are loath to do \u2014 like cleaning [his] hotel rooms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Patel\u2019s expectation was rational: From 1990 to 2017, the federal government inflated the labor force by adding roughly one migrant \u2014 both legal and illegal \u2014 for every three Americans who joined the workforce.<\/p>\n<p>That economic policy of inflating the labor supply slowed in the 2008 crash and came to a sudden halt in 2020 when President Donald Trump closed the borders to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Overall, the federal government imported&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/12\/13\/census-data-shows-trumps-immigration-win\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5 million<\/a>&nbsp;fewer foreigners from 2010 to 2020 \u2014 including&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/17\/jpmorgan-wages-productivity-jumped-amid-trumps-low-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3 million<\/a>&nbsp;fewer from 2017 to 2020 \u2014 compared to prior decades, according to&nbsp;recent reports.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Post<\/em>&nbsp;report continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"20.321705426357\">\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t compete with the [$15-per-hour] warehouses for wages,\u201d Patel said. \u201cThe government should let us get people from India, even just for six months. The government has to realize there are certain job categories that American people don\u2019t want to do anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Post<\/em>&nbsp;did not explain how Patel would import temporary workers from&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.quora.com\/Which-category-is-Patel-caste?share=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">caste-divided<\/a>&nbsp;India, where half the workers earn less than $100 per week. But the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/b-1-b-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">B-1\/B-2 visa<\/a>&nbsp;is used by some Indians to legally visit for six months \u2014 and illegally work while they are in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>So, without a supply of very cheap workers from his home country, Patel reluctantly raised Americans\u2019 wages \u201cfrom $8.50 to nearly $11 an hour and offered more flexible schedules,\u201d&nbsp; the&nbsp;<em>Post<\/em>&nbsp;reported.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, the GOP leadership has focused criticism on the migrants who cross the southern border. and has largely refused to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/12\/10\/only-41-percent-voters-trust-republicans-immigration-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spotlight the pocketbook damage<\/a> to Americans caused by the massive inflow of foreign workers, consumers, and renters.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\"
