In neighboring Oakland, both car break-ins and auto burglaries increased by 27 percent this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have got to do more to get us through this holiday season,\u201d Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7.com\/trunk-open-car-break-in-why-not-to-leave-your\/11344070\/\">said<\/a>.
