Looking at the trunk of these large petrified trees, we can imagine how large these \u2018mother trees\u2019 were.\u201d It goes on to say the trees \u201chad all the knowledge and wisdom on the planet that they in turn transmitted to men and animals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>None of the pictures show the stumps of ancient giant trees, reverse image searches revealed. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/08\/22\/fact-check-devils-tower-giant-tree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Scientists Discover Devils Tower Was Originally A Giant Tree?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alamy.com\/guyot-aerial-photograph-of-a-guyot-in-the-afar-depression-ethiopia-africa-the-awash-river-is-seen-across-top-left-guyots-are-underwater-volcanoes-image334781557.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">top-left photo<\/a>, available on Alamy, actually depicts an exposed guyot in the <a href=\"https:\/\/earthobservatory.nasa.gov\/images\/5819\/afar-depression-ethiopia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Afar Depression<\/a> in Ethiopia. In addition, the picture appears on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencephoto.com\/media\/390833\/view\/guyot-ethiopia-aerial-photograph\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Science Photo Library<\/a> website, where the caption also identifies it as a guyot, not an ancient giant tree.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAerial photograph of a guyot in the Afar Depression, Ethiopia, Africa. The Awash River is seen across top left,\u201d reads the caption on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencephoto.com\/media\/390833\/view\/guyot-ethiopia-aerial-photograph\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Science Photo Library<\/a>. \u201cGuyots are underwater volcanoes that have flat tops due to wave erosion. The presence of a guyot in the Afar Depression shows that the area was once beneath the Red Sea.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both the top-right and bottom-left photos depict the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Cerro+Autana\/@4.771579,-67.4329766,8630a,35y,38.06t\/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x8e75582f4551c287:0xb148d55192f010d2!8m2!3d4.8333333!4d-67.4166667\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cerro Autana<\/a>, a table-top mountain located in Venezuela. The top-right photo can be seen in a <a href=\"https:\/\/steemit.com\/venezuela\/@prox1234\/venezuela-un-pais-lleno-de-maravillas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Steemit post<\/a> titled \u201cVenezuela A Country Full of Marvels,\u201d while the bottom-left can be seen in a <a href=\"https:\/\/photochronograph.ru\/2013\/04\/02\/nacionalnyj-park-kanajma-v-venesuele\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Russian blog post<\/a> about various geological formations in Venezuela. The Facebook page of Venezuela\u2019s National Parks Institute has posted pictures of Cerro Autana that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/InparquesGobVe\/posts\/1098873500322162\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">closely<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/InparquesGobVe\/posts\/1128574434018735\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">resemble<\/a> the bottom-left photo, while a similar photo to the top-right <a href=\"https:\/\/www.istockphoto.com\/photo\/cerro-autana-and-cerro-cara-de-indio-gm958364382-261692293\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">can be found<\/a> on iStock.<\/p>\n<p>The bottom-right photo shows the Devils Tower in Wyoming, as can be seen on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.andyadventuring.com\/devils-tower-national-monument\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AndyAdventuring.com<\/a>. The geological formation comprises of igneous rock called phonolite porphyry, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.org\/media\/devils-tower-geology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Geographic<\/a>.
