The Vice President did an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/kamala-harris-interview-biden-re-election-2024-11639672990\">interview with The Wall Street Journal.<\/a> She was asked if she assumed that Biden would run again, and she didn\u2019t say yes. She just said that the two of them hadn\u2019t talked about it. Of course, you all and the President himself have said that he does plan to seek reelection. So what\u2019s the disconnect here?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t speak to a conversation that the Vice President and the President has,\u201d Jean-Pierre answered. \u201cI could only say what and reiterate what Jen (Psaki) has said and what the President has said himself. He is planning to run for reelection in 2024. I don\u2019t have any more to add to that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The reporter pressed, \u201cBut just to be clear, when the President says he plans to run again, he means with Harris on the ticket?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, he does. There\u2019s no change,\u201d Jean-Pierre replied. \u201cYes. Yes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harris told the Journal, \u201cI\u2019m not going to talk about our conversations, but I will tell you this without any ambiguity: We do not talk about nor have we talked about re-election, because we haven\u2019t completed our first year and we\u2019re in the middle of a pandemic.\u201d When she was queried as to whether Biden would run again, she said, \u201cI\u2019ll be very honest: I don\u2019t think about it, nor have we talked about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Journal noted, \u201cBoth Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris are ending their first year with weak poll numbers. An&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.cdn.yougov.com\/pnu6yfcz0j\/econTabReport.pdf\">Economist\/YouGov survey this week<\/a>&nbsp;found that 39% of respondents saw Ms. Harris favorably, while 51% had an unfavorable view of her and 10% were unsure. A recent Journal poll found&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/wsj-poll-biden-leadership-economy-midterms-11638888384?mod=article_inline\">41% of voters approved<\/a>&nbsp;of Mr. Biden\u2019s job performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although Biden will be almost 82 by the time of Election Day 2024, he may insist on running to preclude the possibility that Hillary Clinton may <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/will-hillary-run-again-in-24\/\">throw her hat into the ring<\/a>. \u201c2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is an interesting prospect to consider when looking for a viable candidate, particularly if an 80-something&nbsp;President Biden decides not to seek a second term,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/campaign\/585843-hillary-2024-given-the-competition-she-may-be-the-dems-best-hope\">The Hill<\/a>&nbsp;columnist Joe Concha wrote, adding, \u201cAnd why would he?
