It\u2019s gonna start to spread much more rapidly at the beginning of the year, and the only real protection is to get your shot,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Existing coronavirus vaccines continue showing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/healthcare-pharmaceuticals\/pfizer-vaccine-protecting-against-hospitalisation-during-omicron-wave-study-2021-12-14\/\">reduced<\/a> protection from the Omicron variant, prompting federal health officials to urge more people to get booster shots.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Biden repeated that Americans who were vaccinated and got an additional booster shot would not suffer deadly symptoms from the virus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re vaccinated, and you have your booster shot, you\u2019re protected from severe illness and death.
