(Photo by Anna Moneymaker\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 1:37 PM PT \u2013 Thursday, December 16, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Congressman Steve Scalise (R-La.) said the Biden administration is ignoring natural immunity and instead is forcing the COVID vaccine on all Americans.<\/p>\n<p>During an interview on Wednesday, Scalise emphasized how Joe Biden and his administration are ignoring millions of people who recovered from the coronavirus and have obtained natural immunity. He stressed how the White House is only pushed for vaccines instead of offering other existing alternatives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are no investigations or hearings that we\u2019re having on the power of natural immunity\u2026people that got COVID and survived it, and then what does that immunity give you? It gives you a lot of ability to be safe from future variants, and yet they don\u2019t want to focus on that because I think they still want to deal with government control,\u201d said Minority Whip Scalise.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Let this sink in: The Biden Administration&#8217;s top priority is bullying American citizens and private businesses with vaccine mandates.<\/p>\n<p>Not inflation.<\/p>\n<p>Not the border crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Their top priority is increasing government control of your life.<\/p>\n<p>Scary. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yF2LPr7v6O\">pic.twitter.com\/yF2LPr7v6O<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Steve Scalise (@SteveScalise) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SteveScalise\/status\/1471118106567356420?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 15, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Additionally, Scalise noted Democrats are now using COVID-19 and its variants as \u201cpretexts\u201d for centralization of government power in the form of lockdowns, disregarding American freedoms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou look at some of the states that just want to continue to control people\u2019s lives. And I think now you have a better opportunity to show the contrast between the governors who believe in people and freedom, and say look, let\u2019s follow the science, let\u2019s protect people, but we can\u2019t shut our economy down.
