Sneezing is the nose\u2019s \u201cinvoluntary response to a nasal irritation,\u201d according to an article from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winchesterhospital.org\/health-library\/article?id=157001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Winchester Hospital<\/a>. The article further explains that while sneezing can affect blood flow to the heart, making it seem as if the heart has briefly stopped beating, the electrical activity in the heart remains unaffected. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winchesterhospital.org\/health-library\/article?id=157001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> mentions nothing about sneezes causing death, even momentarily.<\/p>\n<p>An article from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/health\/does-your-heart-stop-when-you-sneeze#sneeze-syncope\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Healthline<\/a> likewise disputes the claim that sneezes can temporarily kill people.
