With President Joe Biden at 79 years old and speculation rife that he won\u2019t run for re-election, talk has turned to a potential Clinton rerun \u2014 and even a rematch between her and Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is an interesting prospect to consider when looking for a viable candidate, particularly if an 80-something&nbsp;President Biden decides not to seek a second term,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/campaign\/585843-hillary-2024-given-the-competition-she-may-be-the-dems-best-hope\">The Hill<\/a> columnist Joe Concha wrote in a piece headlined, \u201cHillary 2024? Given the competition, she may be the Dems\u2019 best hope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd why would he? Just 22 percent of voters want him to seek a second term, <a href=\"https:\/\/tippinsights.com\/i-i-tipp-poll-stunner-just-22-of-americans-want-joe-biden-to-run-for-president-again\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to a I&amp;I-TIPP poll. It doesn\u2019t get much better when polling only Democrats, where just 36 percent want to see the president run again, with that juggernaut candidate named \u2018someone else\u2019 coming in first with 44 percent support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Concha goes on to argue that the Democratic bench is extremely thin, dismissing Vice President Kamala Harris,&nbsp;former New York Gov.&nbsp;Andrew Cuomo, and California&nbsp;Gov.&nbsp;Gavin Newsom, and&nbsp;as viable contenders over terrible poll numbers, a humiliating resignation, and&nbsp;a recent recall effort in a deep blue state, respectively.&nbsp;That leaves Hillary atop the heap, Concha says.<\/p>\n<p>Just this past Sunday, Clinton warned that Trump is planning to run again, claiming there would be catastrophic consequences for America if he wins.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that could be the end of our democracy,\u201d she said. \u201cNot to be too pointed about it, but I want people to understand that this is a make-or-break point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clinton\u2019s continued presence on the stage \u2014 liberal networks continue to put her on the air nearly every weekend \u2014 signals to some that she\u2019s setting up a run. And with Biden plunging in the polls \u2014 along with Vice President Harris, who stood at just 28% approval rating in one recent poll \u2014 Clinton\u2019s name recognition would once again put her at the head of the pack.<\/p>\n<p>In her Sunday interview, Clinton said she tried to caution Americans about Trump in 2016, when she got crushed in the Electoral College in her 306-232 loss.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI tried to warn people.
