As I stated in October, regaining our trust and respect was essential. Regrettably, it did not happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDarrell Bevell will serve as interim head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars for the balance of the 2021 season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The news came shortly after the latest round of embarrassing reports regarding Meyer\u2019s time in Jacksonville, this time from a former kicker.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, The Tampa Bay Times published a report detailing Meyer\u2019s treatment of Josh Lambo \u2014 now a free agent kicker \u2014 in which Lambo accused Meyer of kicking him at Jaguars practice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the newspaper, Lambo \u2014 who had missed a field goal attempt in each of the Jaguars two preseason games \u2014 was approached by Meyer while Lambo was stretching at practice, imploring him to convert his field goal attempts and then delivering a kick to Lambo\u2019s leg.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m in a lunge position. Left leg forward, right leg back,\u201d Lambo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/sports\/bucs\/2021\/12\/15\/former-jaguars-kicker-josh-lambo-says-he-was-kicked-by-urban-meyer-during-warmups\/?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_content=%40TBTimes_Sports&amp;utm_medium=social\">said<\/a>. \u201c\u2026 Urban Meyer, while I\u2019m in that stretch position, comes up to me and says, \u2018Hey Dips\u2013t, make your f***ing kicks!\u2019 And kicks me in the leg.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lambo characterized the kick as a \u201cfive (out of 10),\u201d and then told Meyer \u201c\u2018Don\u2019t you ever f\u2013king kick me again!\u201d Meyer allegedly responded by saying \u201cI\u2019m the head ball coach. I\u2019ll kick you whenever the f*** I want.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meyer denied the allegations, saying Lambo\u2019s story was \u201ccompletely inaccurate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lambo told the newspaper that Meyer approached him the next day at the team facility, telling Lambo he would be off the team if he spoke to Meyer in the same manner again. The kicker was released by the Jaguars on October 19, missing three field goals and two PAT\u2019s in three games.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While the report from the Tampa Bay Times appears to have been the last straw, it certainly was not the first off-the-field issue Meyer had to deal with in his first NFL season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over the weekend, reports surfaced that tensions within the locker room were boiling over, with Meyer and wide receiver Marvin Jones reportedly getting into a shouting match at practice due to Meyer\u2019s criticism of the receiver group. Additionally, reports surfaced that Meyer blasted his coaching staff for being \u201closers,\u201d challenging them to defend their resumes and prove to him when they\u2019ve ever won.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meyer also benched running back James Robinson following an opening-drive fumble during the Jaguars 37-7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in week 13. Meyer reportedly only allowed Robinson to return after Lawrence implored Meyer to insert Robinson back into the game on the sidelines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following Jacksonville\u2019s shutout loss on Sunday, Meyer denied the allegations, threatening to fire the source behind the leaks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s the answer [when things are going badly]?
