Instead of using this opportunity to inform the public, he misled the public. First, he made the outrageously false claim that the vaccine stops the spread of the disease. It doesn\u2019t. It only slows it. Then he also made the equally outrageous claim that it\u2019s <em>patriotic<\/em> to get vaccinated.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThis is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Not the vaccinated, the unvaccinated. That\u2019s the problem,\u201d said Biden. \u201cEverybody talks about freedom about not to have a shot or have a test. Well, guess what? How about patriotism? How about you make sure you\u2019re vaccinated, so you do not spread the disease to anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Patriotism has nothing to do with your medical status. What\u2019s more, it is un-American to suggest otherwise. However, with that glorious freedom comes two responsibilities: The first is that we do not infringe on the rights of others to live <em>their <\/em>lives however they choose. The second is that we tolerate how others choose to live their lives. By the way, if you want world peace, that simple recipe \u2014 leave the other fella alone \u2014 is the secret.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, there is nothing \u201cpatriotic\u201d about getting vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>What is patriotic, however, is tolerating the other fella\u2019s vaccination choice.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m vaccinated. I hope everyone gets vaccinated. But because I\u2019m a patriot who believes in the <em>live and let live<\/em> ideal this country was founded on, I personally 1) don\u2019t care if others choose to remain unvaccinated, and 2) do not believe people should be bullied, ostracized, or criticized for not getting vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>The unvaccinated do not affect my vaccination status. Whether or not you are vaccinated, I still am. Your decision in no way harms me. Regardless of what you do, I\u2019m protected by the vaccine. If you\u2019re vaccinated, masked up, and social distancing, what do you have to fear from someone who\u2019s not? What do you care if an unvaccinated, unmasked group of people hang out together in a crowded bar? No one\u2019s forcing you to go to the bar. No one\u2019s forcing you to remove your mask. No one\u2019s forcing you to do anything.<\/p>\n<p>If the decisions of others do not affect you, it is unpatriotic and un-American to bully them into making <em>your<\/em> choices.<\/p>\n<p>The only thing Biden said that in any way approached the truth was, \u201cThis is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Not the vaccinated, the unvaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Yes, some of the vaccinated are still catching the China Flu, and a few are even dying of it, but the numbers are substantially lower than the unvaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>Oddly enough, the one person who got this exactly right was a Democrat\u2014Colorado governor Jared Polis, who laid it out perfectly in a radio interview <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deseret.com\/utah\/2021\/12\/14\/22834582\/colorado-governor-jared-polis-covid-19-emergency-over-unvaccinated-pandemic-vaccine-masks\">last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody had more than enough opportunity to get vaccinated,\u201d Polis said. \u201cAt this point, if you haven\u2019t been vaccinated, it\u2019s really your own darn fault.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued with this analogy: \u201cYou don\u2019t [force] people to wear a jacket when they go out in winter \u2026 If they get frostbite, it\u2019s their own darn fault. If you haven\u2019t been vaccinated, that\u2019s your choice. I respect that. Everyone gets to make their own choice, everyone\u2019s responsible for their own choice, and now it\u2019s time to resume normal life.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Biden is not a patriot.
