She was the strongest kid.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>The nine-year-old was born with a rare liver disease and underwent substantial surgery when she was only two months old.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> \u201cAnni was a miracle,\u201d<\/span>&nbsp;Hooker told <em>People<\/em>. \u201cShe was born with biliary atresia. So God gave us a miracle with Anni.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Only a week before the storm hit, the Rackley\u2019s moved into their new home near&nbsp;Caruthersville, Missouri, <em>People<\/em> reports. Parents Meghan, 32, and Trey, 37, designed their home to have safeguards against storms so they could be safe with their three daughters Annistyn, Avalinn, 7, and Lani, 3, according to Meghan\u2019s aunt Sandra Hooker.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe\u2019ve talked about it several times,\u201d Hooker told <em>People<\/em>. \u201cWhere\u2019s their safe place going to be? Are the girls going to know?&nbsp;Meghan and Trey had discussed it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The family decided the windowless, interior bathroom was the best spot to hunker down in the event of a major storm, Hooker said. On Friday, as the dastardly weather approached their home, Hooker texted her niece.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Hooker recounted to <em>People<\/em>:<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote readability=\"13\">\n<p><span>About 7:23, I texted Meghan and I told her, \u201cThe storms are about 15 minutes away. Get ready.\u201d She texted back, and then she texted me again. And he said he could hear it coming. And it was like the house \u2018popped.&#8217;\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Trey told Hooker that as the tornado ripped through the home, he was launched in the air and \u201ctrying to hold on to Lani.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once Trey was airborne, he was tossed into the mud.<\/p>\n<p><span> \u201cHe immediately got up and started trying to find his family, because there\u2019s not a better daddy in this world, not a better husband, even though he has a broken vertebrae and a broken rib and all these cuts and abrasions and things on his body,\u201d Hooker told <em>People<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>The father then found Avalinn.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhen she got to the hospital and the doctors and the nurses asked her, do you know what happened to you? She told \u2019em yes,\u201d Hooker recalled.&nbsp; She said, \u2018I was flying around in that tornado.\u2019 And she said, \u2018I prayed to Jesus to take care of me. (AP Photo\/Mark Humphrey)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>When she underwent surgery for lacerations to her abdomen, both of her lungs collapsed, Hooker told <em>People<\/em>. The 32-year-old is now breathing after a tracheotomy.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Seven-year-old Avalinn remained in a pediatric intensive as of Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Hooker says Avalinn\u2019s stomach was distended, and she suffered several broken vertebrae. She was scheduled to undergo surgery on Wednesday, where she would receive \u201crods and things,\u201d Hooker told <em>People<\/em>. Additionally, a specialist was called in to clean out the seven-year-old\u2019s eyes, which were filled with debris.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Three-year-old Lani was released from the hospital on Sunday with hairline fractures to her vertebrae, Hooker stated. Lani was brought to see Avalinn in the pediatric intensive care unit.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c\u2018Where\u2019s Anni? can you take me to see Anni?&#8217;\u201d the seven-year-old asked her grandmother, according to Hooker.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> \u201cThey knew that this was gonna come,\u201d Hooker told <em>People<\/em>. \u201cThe child psychologist came into the room and helped her grandmother tell her. You could just tell how much it affected her.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Avalinn asked her grandmother, \u201cAm I going die,\u201d Hooker recalled. \u201c<\/span><span>And her grandmother assured her that she was not gonna die. Then she said, \u2018Then I\u2019ll have to be the big sister to Lani.&#8217;\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hooker told <em>People<\/em> the Rackley\u2019s new home was destroyed:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p><span>There\u2019s very little left. Her car was moved probably 30, 40 feet from where it was and turned around. Trey\u2019s Jeep was probably a hundred yards from the house where it had been parked. \u2026 They had an acre lot surrounded on three sides by a field. The trees in the front yard were uprooted.&nbsp;The front door was in a tree behind the house. The stuff was just strewn everywhere.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>On Sunday, cleanup and rescue workers found the doll Annistyn held in the Snapchat that Meghan sent Hooker moments before the tornado hit, the Associated Press (AP) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/storm-victims-include-missouri-girl-aunts-special-angel\/\">reports<\/a>.
