Just this week alone, USCIS swapped \u201calien\u201d for \u201cnoncitizen\u201d on the following webpages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>December 7: Green Cards for Asylees; Conrad 30 Waiver Program; GB Temporary Visitor to Guam; H-2B Temporary Non-Agricultural Workers; P-1B A Member of an Internationally Recognized Entertainment Group;<\/li>\n<li>December 8: Working in the United States; and<\/li>\n<li>December 9: Visa Availability and Priority Dates and E-1 Treaty Traders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div id=\"attachment_18939122\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" readability=\"35\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/GettyImages-1181885583.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18939122\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/GettyImages-1181885583.jpg\" alt width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Immigration rights activists take part in a rally in front of the US Supreme Court in Washington, DC on November 12, 2019. The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) codified the term in law and&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/uscode.house.gov\/view.xhtml?req=(title:8%20section:1101%20edition:prelim)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">defines <\/a>it&nbsp;as \u201cany person not a citizen or national of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite objections from the Biden administration over the terms \u201cillegal alien\u201d and \u201cassimilation,\u201d the terminology was readily used by the late civil rights icon Rep.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/01\/17\/epitomized-the-american-dream-trump-honors-civil-rights-icon-pro-american-immigration-reformer-barbara-jordan\/\">Barbara Jordan<\/a>&nbsp;(D-TX) who&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/2017\/08\/12\/raise-act-revives-civil-rights-leader-barbara-jordans-americanization-immigration-legacy\/\">advocated<\/a>&nbsp;for legal immigration reductions to boost the quality of life, wages, and job opportunities for America\u2019s working and middle class.<\/p>\n<p>In a&nbsp;1995<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/fMPfI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\"> op-ed<\/a>&nbsp;for the&nbsp;<em>New York Times<\/em>, for instance, Jordan blasted \u201cpolicies that permit the continued entry of hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens and blur distinctions between what is legal and beneficial and what is illegal and harmful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>John Binder is a reporter for Breitbart News.
