I have not spoken to anyone,\u201d Biden said to reporters as he left the White House. \u201cIt seems to me he\u2019s worthy of being held in contempt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Biden was asked if he had seen texts released by the select committee, he replied, \u201cI haven\u2019t seen them all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite turning over some information to the committee, Meadows stopped cooperating, citing Trump\u2019s executive privilege.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The House <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/14\/house-votes-hold-mark-meadows-contempt-congress\/\">voted<\/a> Tuesday 222\u2013208 to find Meadows in contempt, as two Republicans, Reps.&nbsp;Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Liz Cheney (R-WY), voted with Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Meadows remains defiant, even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/08\/mark-meadows-sues-nancy-pelosi-and-every-member-of-january-6-committee-unconstitutional\/\">suing<\/a>&nbsp;Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and every member of the select committee, claiming a constitutional right to executive privilege.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re not going to intimidate me,\u201d he said during a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/14\/defiant-mark-meadows-slams-the-democrats-theyre-not-going-to-intimidate-me\/\">conversation<\/a> with supporters on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s comment demonstrates that he believes Meadows is guilty of a crime, which could affect the Justice Department\u2019s decision of whether or not to prosecute him.<\/p>\n<p>The president also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/15\/joe-biden-wants-justice-department-to-prosecute-trump-loyalists-defying-congressional-subpoenas\/\">said<\/a> in October he supported the Justice Department indicting Trump\u2019s aides for not cooperating with the select committee, even though he later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/10\/21\/biden-justice-department-jan-6-independence-516694\">admitted<\/a>&nbsp;his comment was \u201cnot appropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden endorsed Wednesday the ongoing political persecution of Mark Meadows, the former chief of staff for President Donald Trump.
