Ron DeSantis (R-FL) offered support to several states recently hit by a series of deadly tornadoes.<\/p>\n<p>Over the weekend, dozens of tornadoes were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/death-toll-rises-after-severe-tornado-storms-devastation-unlike-anything-i-have-ever-seen-in-my-life\">reported<\/a> throughout Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. The largest tornado that struck the region tore through over 200 miles of Kentucky; as of Tuesday, 74 people have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/over-100-people-unaccounted-for-in-kentucky-following-devastating-tornadoes\">confirmed<\/a> dead and more than 100 remain unaccounted for.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flgov.com\/2021\/12\/14\/governor-ron-desantis-offers-support-to-states-affected-by-tornado-outbreak\/\">press release<\/a> from DeSantis\u2019 office said that Florida \u201cstands ready to aid the response efforts from all impacted states.\u201d The Florida Division of Emergency Management coordinated with offices \u201cof the nine affected states to identify resource gaps and offer support as needed\u201d \u2014 including urban search and rescue teams, ambulance strike teams, and recovery disaster specialists to deploy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe devastation left in the wake of the tornado outbreak over the weekend is an unthinkable tragedy, and Casey and I are keeping the victims and all impacted individuals in our prayers as initial recovery efforts begin,\u201d said DeSantis in the press release, referencing his wife. \u201cThe State of Florida has been communicating with our partners in the impacted states since early Saturday morning and we stand ready to provide any assistance needed during this time. We\u2019ll continue to work with them to ensure they have the resources they need to respond.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Division is keeping the victims of the tornado outbreak at the forefront of our thoughts and prayers,\u201d added FDEM Director Kevin Guthrie. \u201cThe impacted states have provided support to Florida in previous disasters, and we will not hesitate to return the favor. The destruction reported so far is catastrophic and the Division will continue to work closely with our emergency management counterparts as they respond to this disaster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House has also been working to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-to-travel-to-kentucky-on-wednesday-to-survey-tornado-damage\">ensure<\/a> that state and local governments have sufficient resources to recuperate from the damage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been working around the clock through the weekend closely with governors of impacted states and local leaders to ensure they have everything they need to respond to and recover from this unimaginable tragedy,\u201d said White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.<\/p>\n<p>President Biden plans to visit Kentucky on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll be happy to come, but I don\u2019t want to be in the way,\u201d Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2021\/12\/11\/remarks-by-president-biden-on-the-severe-weather-that-impacted-several-u-s-states\/\">said<\/a> he told Gov.
