A CNN spokesperson also confirmed the image is fake.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/11\/29\/us\/ghislaine-maxwell-epstein-profile-intl\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maxwell<\/a>, the ex-girlfriend and confidant of deceased convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has been on trial for allegedly trafficking underage women since Nov. 29, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/five-takeaways-prosecutions-case-ghislaine-maxwells-sex-abuse-trial-2021-12-14\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reuters<\/a>. Amid the federal trial, what looks like a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=10159341114565358&amp;set=a.10151270740125358\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">screen grab<\/a> of a CNN broadcast graphic reporting Epstein\u2019s former pilot said he saw Trudeau on the disgraced financier\u2019s private plane has been circulating on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>CNN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/11\/30\/us\/ghislaine-maxwell-pilot\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a> Nov. 30 that Epstein\u2019s former pilot testified that he saw public figures such as Prince Andrew, former President Bill Clinton and former President Donald Trump on Epstein\u2019s private plane. At no point does that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/11\/30\/us\/ghislaine-maxwell-pilot\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nov. 30 article<\/a> \u2013 or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/search?q=epstein+trudeau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">other CNN stories<\/a> about the Maxwell trial \u2013 state the pilot named Trudeau as one of the passengers on the jet.<\/p>\n<p>Major media outlets such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/epstein-pilot-resumes-testimony-ghislaine-maxwell-trial-81467756\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Associated Press<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/jeffrey-epstein-pilot-names-hollywood-stars-flew-private-plane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox News<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/jeffrey-epsteins-longtime-pilot-testifies-trial-ghislaine-maxwell-rcna7078\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NBC News<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/jeffrey-epsteins-former-pilot-recalls-flying-trump-clinton-celebrities-11638306038\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-59484332\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BBC News<\/a> also said that the pilot\u2019s testimony included references to Andrew, Clinton, Trump and others. However, none of those news organizations reported the pilot said he saw Trudeau on the plane, either.<\/p>\n<p>The screen grab of the CNN graphic has been digitally manipulated to include Trudeau, a review by Check Your Fact of the <a href=\"https:\/\/grabien.com\/newsclipper.php?id=1993418\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">broadcast<\/a> on the video-clip editing service Grabien revealed. In the photoshopped screen grab, Trudeau\u2019s photo and name have been superimposed over those of <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bloomberglaw.com\/white-collar-and-criminal-law\/ex-sen-mitchell-now-at-dla-piper-named-in-epstein-scandal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">former Sen. George Mitchell<\/a>.
