Tom Rice over his Trump impeachment vote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe made our disappointment clear the night of the impeachment vote. Trying to impeach a president, with a week left in his term, is never legitimate and is nothing more than a political kick on the way out the door,\u201d South Carolina GOP Chairman Drew McKissick <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/01\/30\/politics\/tom-rice-south-carolina-republicans-censure\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said in a statement Saturday afternoon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongressman Rice\u2019s vote unfortunately played right into the Democrats\u2019 game, and the people in his district, and ultimately our State Executive Committee, wanted him to know they wholeheartedly disagree with his decision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Rice was one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2021\/01\/house-impeaches-president-trump-232-197-vote-10-republicans-join-democrats-vote-favor-impeachment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">10 Republican lawmakers who joined the Democrats<\/a> and voted in favor of impeaching Donald Trump on January 13.<\/p>\n<p>The House of Representatives impeached President Trump with a 232-197 vote for \u2018inciting an insurrection\u2019 during his January 6 DC speech even though he specifically called for peace.<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump is the first president in US history to be impeached twice.<\/p>\n<p>Last week Wyoming Republicans censured GOP Rep.
