The court also granted a motion to expedite an appeal in the case. The lawsuit challenges the airline\u2019s requirements, which include placing unvaccinated workers with a religious or medical objection to its mandate on unpaid leave.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Attorney&nbsp;Gene Schaerr&nbsp;previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/health\/2021\/10\/13\/exclusive-attorney-united-airlines-vaccine-policy-aimed-texas\/\">denounced<\/a> United Airlines\u2019 vaccine mandate, saying it was&nbsp;\u201ccertainly\u201d aimed at Texas resident and the airline employees who live there.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In October, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/2021\/10\/11\/texas-governor-prohibits-vaccine-mandates-by-any-entity\/\">issued<\/a>&nbsp;an executive order banning any entity from compelling a person to receive the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective, and our best defense against the virus, but should remain voluntary and never forced,\u201d Abbott <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/2021\/10\/11\/texas-governor-prohibits-vaccine-mandates-by-any-entity\/\">stated<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An U.S. appeals court rejected an\u00a0emergency request by six employees to halt United Airlines from enforcing the company\u2019s coronavirus vaccine mandate.
