I will a little bit because he\u2019s Italian and I can\u2019t stand it,\u201d as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/cuomo-torched-by-sammy-bull-gravano-over-nursing-home-scandal-i-would-never-do-that\">Fox News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne, because he\u2019s Italian and I\u2019m embarrassed to have someone do what he did as an Italian,\u201d he continued. \u201cHe killed 15,000 people by putting people with the coronavirus in [nursing homes] with old people. \u2026 I don\u2019t give a f*** who tells me to do that, whether it\u2019s Trump, the president, the vice president, you, him (referring to fellow interviewee&nbsp; and former Colombo caporegime Michael Franzese), I would never do it. And I\u2019m a bad***. I\u2019d never do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGravano also said that when an individual does something like the former governor\u2019s scandal and has \u2018no concern,\u2019 he thinks about his family, including his \u2018great-grandchildren who aren\u2019t even born\u201d that are \u201cgoing to deal with s\u2014 like this,\u201d Fox News stated.<\/p>\n<p>The series\u2019 director Gerard Michaels told Fox News that Cuomo did not respond when they asked for comment on the show. He declared, \u201cThey were silent. Any of our emails were never responded to. And every time we tried to make a phone call, all they did was push to another department, who then tried to push us to another department, who tried to push us to another department, who then tried to push us to another department.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bet-David chimed in regarding Gravano and Franzese, \u201cTheir biggest challenge with this is that the moment you\u2019re a politician, you are held to much different standards than they did. Now, don\u2019t get me wrong \u2013 obviously a Rudy Giulliani is necessary to help clean the streets of New York so families don\u2019t have to worry about the safety of their kids while they\u2019re out there playing. But I would say that\u2019s the position that Sammy and Michael would take: that they think many politicians like the Cuomos get away with murder, which is essentially what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/desantis-cuomo-quarantine-florida-new-york-nursing-homes\">Fox News<\/a>&nbsp;noted in June 2020 that over 6,200 elderly residents might have died from COVID-19 in New York nursing homes according to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.health.ny.gov\/statistics\/diseases\/covid-19\/fatalities_nursing_home_acf.pdf\">state health department statistics<\/a>. Months prior, on March 25, 2020, the New York Department of Health issued an advisory that stated nursing homes had to accept residents returning from hospitals whether or not they had a diagnosis of COVID-19. The <a href=\"https:\/\/skillednursingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/03\/DOH_COVID19__NHAdmissionsReadmissions__032520_1585166684475_0.pdf\">advisory<\/a>&nbsp;stated:<\/p>\n<p><em>During this global health emergency, all NHs must comply with the expedited receipt of residents returning from hospitals to NHs. Residents are deemed appropriate for return to a NH upon a determination by the hospital physician or designee that the resident is medically stable for return. &nbsp;Hospital discharge planners&nbsp;<strong>must&nbsp;<\/strong>confirm to the NH, by telephone, that the resident is medically stable for discharge.
